Light of the World
How Many Lightbulbs Does it Take to Change the World?
“In terms of oil not burned, or greenhouse gases not exhausted into the atmosphere, one bulb is equivalent to taking 1.3 million cars off the roads.”
“a $3 swirl pays for itself in lower electric bills in about five months.”
“the modern ice-cream swirl bulb requires no sacrifice. Buying and using it helps save the world–and also saves the customer money–with no compromise on quality. Selflessness and self-satisfaction, twirled into a single $3 purchase.”
You have no excuse.

that is a *great* article. Thanks for posting it. I bought a bunch of ’swirls’ last year when the hardware store had them on sale for under a dollar a piece…my roommate and I put them all over our apartment…it was great. The light is still a little harsh for my taste…but knowing what a huge difference it makes is astounding…and worth the little bit of inconvenience.

Wow… interesting! I had no idea how much of an effect those could make!
So are you changing out all your lightbulbs, or waiting until the ones you have burn out?
